ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Growing up in Darwin, on Larrakia Land, I was taught to be ‘croc-wise’. The opportunity to document a bit of Australian fossil history through the iconic crocodile was exciting enough to select this as my final artwork. I applied new observational skills practiced during the two weeks to my existing digital illustration skillset to develop this final dorsal view artwork. By understanding the scientific rigour needed for this type of documentation illustration, I was able to (hopefully) achieve a scientific ready publication.
Medium: Observation and orthographic measurement pencil sketch brough into a digital photoshop illustration final artwork designs, and scientific illustrations. We are passionate about creating visually stunning works of art that communicate complex ideas and tell stories.
